Youth Recorder and Mac OSX 10.4 Tiger

Youth recordkeeper contains code from a Database plugin called Secure FM. Only in Max OSX 10.4 does this plugin crash Youth RecordKeeper. This plugin must be removed and a new Menu.SRK file must be used to fully remove the plug-ins use. To upgrade click the link below to download the new menu.SRK file. This file currently exists in the Youth RecordKeeper application folder usually at the path:

/Applications/Youth RecordKeeper/Menu.SRK

You must download the new file, decompress the file and replace the current file with the new file. You will be required to re-enter your software registration information. Please refer to your original receipt for this information

Download the new Menu.SRK File

In addition to downloading the new menu file, the Secure FM X plugin must be thrown in the trash. This file is in the Filemaker Extensions Folder in the Youth RecordKeeper folder. The usual path to file the file is:

/Applications/Youth RecordKeeper/Filemaker Extensions/Secure FM X

Once the plugin is removed restart Youth RecordKeeper as you normally would. Scout data is not changed or harmed in this procedure and no loss of user functionality is lost.

AS WITH ANY CHANGE please make a backup copy of your Youth RecordKeeper folder just in case. This procedure does require removing software. Do not take the chance of making a mistake with your only copy.

REMINDER please backup your data regularly.
